Fraternity and Chapter
HISTORY

ALPHA PHI OMEGA
is a co-educational national service fraternity the runs under the principles of leadership, friendship, and service. As brothers of the fraternity, we help develop leadership skills for the future, form life long friendships, and provide service for various organization and causes to help humanity.
Alpha Phi Omega's primary focus is to provide volunteer service within four areas: service to the community, service to the campus, service to the fraternity, and service to the nation and world. In fact, Alpha Phi Omega is the largest co-ed service fraternity in the world. Since 1925, more than 500,000 members on over 375 campuses, continue to provide more service on more campuses than any other collegiate service organization.

The Story of Our Founding:
This is the story behind the creation of Alpha Phi Omega. It is also the story of the beginning of the first chapter — Alpha Chapter — at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. It is also the story of the formation of the first national organization of the Fraternity. Above all, it is the story of the dreams of one man for an organization through which men might better the conditions of other men, as well as of themselves. It is the story of how a college student worked with others to turn those dreams into a reality. This student is Frank Reed Horton.
